Ecology Project International (EPI) is a 501 (c)(3) organization that envisions an ecologically literate society where the world’s youth are empowered to take an active role in conservation. EPI’s programs partner high school students with scientists in applied research — conserving Montana wildlife, and protecting sea turtles, whales and dolphins, forest and coastal habitat, and other emblematic species and places under threat.
In 2009, EPI purchased the historic Swift Building in downtown Missoula to serve as its headquarters as well as a non-profit center for regional groups with complimentary missions. This presents an exciting opportunity to build collaboration—one of EPI’s strengths as an organization—among synergistic groups within the community.
